Hey everyone! So as you know we have all been stuck at home for a while and I really wanted to do something with this Beetle set as I just love it! I really wanted it to be super shiny so I ordered two sets of metallic markers but neither of them worked so I ordered two more sets of different brands! I am pretty happy with how it came out. My other thought was to use nail polish but I couldn't wait LOL. This was the look I was trying to get.
I stamped the beetle on white card stock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I colored in the Beetle with Lelix Metallic Pens going over the inside lines of the Beetle. I used my MISTI to stamp the Beetle again over the metallic coloring. Then I cut out the Beetle without it's legs. I did this so I could pop up his body on the card. I just used foam tape to do that. I then used WOW! gold embossing powder and embossed 3 of the leaves. I stamped one set of leaves over the beetle I had already stamped on the front of the card and stamped my sentiment. Then I attached the leaves and kind of bent them so they looked like they were coming off the card.
Hope you all are staying busy somehow! :)

I have never seen anything colored so realistically before. It blew me away, like magic, so very impressed. Tfs
You have managed to introduce a wonderful, fresh idea into the art of card-making! I love the beetle adorned with the metallic colors! So true to real life.
Love, love, love Egyptian scrabas....and ginkgo leaves.
great cards!
Fabulous colouring on your beetle; you've captured the shimmer/sheen of the 'real' thing wonderfully!
